Monkey Pox Outbreak Situation Report south west.Cameroun.2022
On the 5th of October 2022, the disease surveillance focal point of the Presbyterian Hospital alerted the district of a suspected monkey pox case received at the hospital. This patient was immediately referred to the Kumba Regional Hospital annex where the district surveillance team descended to carry out preliminary investigation. Laboratory specimens were collected on the 6th October and sent to CPC Yaounde where it was confirmed positive for monkey pox virus on the 8th of October 2022
